Why does GAH exist?
It's simple. Too many people do not get the medical products they need to lead healthy and productive lives. The current model under invests in innovation for areas not considered commercially viable. Where products have a dual use in both high and lower income settings, access is prioritized for those who can help drive company profits.

Global Access Diagnostics (GADx) is a leading developer of lateral flow and rapid diagnostic technologies, products and services, offering a full suite of services from concept to validation to manufacturing at flexible volumes. GADx prioritizes people over profit.
Global Access Health is a unique organisation committed to expand community access to affordable and equitable medical technology.
Our ambition is to build and ensure financial sustainability and expand community access to medical technology through decentralized research, development and manufacturing in and for the global south.
GAH was formed by a consortium of some of the best known impact investors utilizing creative mix of grants and equity with longer-term horizon to drive impact.
This "patient capital" allows us to align our goals for impact in global health with our goals for financial sustainability to have a radically different approach to product development for underserved communities.
